ABOUT
The Rocca di Ancaiano is immersed in the green heart of Umbria, in the Val Nerina area. It enjoys natural and cultural surroundings of incomparable beauty. The tower is only a 20 minutes drive from Spoleto and only 5 km away from Ferentillo, a lovely village perched on the Nera river. For this reason, it is the perfect base from which one can explore the major attractions of Umbria.
Our beautiful home is located within the walls of the Ancaiano castle, also known as "Rocca d’Ancaiano", built in the 11th century to defend the southern borders of the ancient duchy of Spoleto. It is characterized by a mighty tower built in white local stone.
The tower is set on high ground, from where one can dominate the surrounding valley and enjoy a breathtaking panorama.
INTERIORS
The tower is tastefully decorated and it develops on three floors: a kitchen on the ground floor, two double bedrooms, a very comfortable bathroom and an elegant living room dominated by the powerful fireplace and by an original Madonna with Child fresco. In the building adjacent to the tower, a master double bedroom characterized by wall-sized windows overlooking the valley and the garden. The master bedroom enjoys an en-suite bathroom with a panoramic bathtub. Each room maintains the memories of ancient past times, while at the same time offering all the comfort and elegance of a modern home.
